The Wilshire US Mid-Cap Growth IndexSM is a benchmark of the mid-sized growth (based on) companies in the U.S. equity market. The Wilshire US Mid-Cap Growth is a float-adjusted, market capitalization-weighted derivative index of the Wilshire US Mid-Cap IndexSM and by extension the Wilshire 5000 Total Market IndexSM (Wilshire 5000®). The Wilshire US Mid-Cap is divided into growth and value by looking at six factors: projected price-to-earnings ratio, projected earnings growth, price-to-book ratio, dividend yield, trailing revenue growth and trailing earnings growth. The Wilshire US Mid-Cap Growth was introduced in 1996.
